JEFF KINNEY Shares His Favorite Books

I love persepolis. How I found persepolis? I watched "JEFF KINNEY Shares His Favorite Books" and he was telling us this persepolis book was amazing. he learned so much about Iran and Iran people's life during their wars inside and outside through a teenage girl which was the author. what I liked about Persepolis:

- its funny. I admired author's use of drawings to tell something funny in pictures. I wish i could do that. (I like brilliantly funny stuff, too much dumb, silly funny stuff nowadays.)

-it's stories that i never heard before only in Persepolis. How would I know what was like going through war and have to wear veils if you were a girl. How was I be able to know what real Iranian people think and live? Genuine story.

-again, on the art style. a lot of comic books are in realistic style, which is cool. but sometimes these books are realistic and they couldn't give you surprises like Persepolis can.

Hope you can really check them out. It will give you something new and funny to look at. one more thing is I can really relate to the author in the book, facing expectation, disappointment because of failing to meet the expectation.

PS. the original French version has book 1, 2, 3 and 4, when they translated the books in English, they combined books 1 and 2 in Book 1 and 3,4 in Book 2. I went to local Library and I found Book 3 in Chinese I was excited. I found out this Book 3 in Chinese is just first half of Book 2 in English version. man, I wish There were books 5, 6, 7 and 8.
